The Hingham downtown area is a preserved historic area with multiple restaurants, shops and services run out of small shops, keeping the small town feel alive. Loring Hall, on Hingham’s Main Street, is one of the last small movie theaters to be found and shows top-level films.

Wompatuck State Park in Hingham, MA, has over 3,200 acres of hiking and mountain biking trails, along with 12 miles of paved biking trails. World’s End is one of many Trustees of Reservations preserves. The scenic views and magical, tree-lined paths were designed by famed landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted.
South Shore Country Club is open to the public and has an 18 hole golf course, a bowling alley, pool, areas for receptions and a restaurant. Black Rock Country Club is private for individuals who have purchased homes in the community, however, memberships can be purchased by Hingham residents for an investment.
There is a sailing club within walking distance of Hingham town center and ample places for kayaking and rowing. Hingham also has a full town recreation center for classes and workshops in every area imaginable.

Public transportation is served by the commuter boat ferry service from the Hingham Shipyard, an MBTA bus route, and the MBTA Commuter Rail to Boston South Station.
