Cohasset is a small, coastal town southeast of Boston located next to Hingham. The dramatic coastline is spotted with stunning homes overlooking the Atlantic ocean. The town of Cohasset has multiple areas of open, green space within the town boundaries. There is a 120 acre organic farm that borders Little Harbor, and many areas of wetlands and forest that are off-limits to developers. Whitney Thayer Woods is a 824 acre conservation area that borders Wompatuck State Park, also part of Cohasset. Wompatuck has paved bike trails and hiking along with cross-country skiing. There are three beaches along the bay, and the Cohasset Yacht Club, Cohasset Sailing Club and a public boat launch in Cohasset Harbor.
Cohasset MA has a swim center, sailing club and recreation department, all of which are very active. Sandy Beach is a private beach club for residents only and provides a lifeguard during summer months. In addition, the Cohasset Sports Complex has an indoor space of 22,500 square feet of un-boarded wall-to-wall top of the line turf field which can be divided up into 4 training fields, 2 mid size fields for league play, or even one full size field. There is a private tennis club and golf club as well.
